The Cure SMA Conference—Why Representation Matters

by | Dec 2, 2024 | Advocacy, Community Engagement, Conferences

Ceez Industries is hopeful about the possibility of attending the upcoming Cure SMA conference this July. This conference is one of the largest gatherings dedicated to the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) community, and we are excited at the prospect of being part of it as both advocates and innovators.

Why This Conference is Important

For us at Ceez Industries, representation means showing up, being heard, and sharing the unique challenges and needs of our community. If we’re able to attend the Cure SMA conference, it will be an opportunity to learn from experts, connect with others affected by SMA, and bring awareness to the work we hope to do in assistive technology. We want to make sure that the needs and voices of our community are heard as we plan for the future.

Connecting with the SMA Community

Our hope is that the conference will be a valuable platform for us to hear directly from others with SMA, share ideas, and understand the current needs and hopes of the community. We know that innovation starts with understanding, and there’s no better way to do that than by being part of events that bring people together to share their stories and perspectives.

We’re also aiming to connect with potential partners and collaborators—whether they’re researchers, advocates, or individuals living with SMA—so that, together, we can explore creating assistive devices that improve lives.

Bringing Your Voice to the Table

As we prepare for the possibility of attending this event, we want to make sure that we’re representing not only ourselves, but also the broader community. If you have thoughts, experiences, or ideas you’d like us to bring to the conference, please reach out to us. Your voice matters, and we’re here to make sure it’s heard.

Join Us on the Journey

If we’re able to attend, we’ll be sharing updates and insights from the Cure SMA conference, so be sure to follow us on our social media channels for the latest. Together, we’re taking steps toward a future where assistive technology truly empowers.
